I am a 911 dispatcher for the local sheriff department. My husband is a forester with the US Forest Service. Two daughters of which I am very proud of. Oldest daughter is in the US Navy and the youngest a junior in college. Also am proud to be the mother in law to a staff sergent in the US Air Force. Empty nester.
My daughters Naval career thus far:
2003 Enlisted in HS while a junior under the DEP program
2004 June Left for GL the same month she graduated HS
2004 August PIR and BC graduation
2005 February Graduated A school from Corry Station
2005 March Stationed at Misawa AFB
2007 October Sailor of the Quarter
2008 April Sailor of the Quarter
2008 April Reenlisted
2008 May Reported to Norfolk for duty aboard the USS Kearsarge
2008 May Fleet Week in NY, NY appearing on Cash Cab
2008 August Deployed for Operation Continuing Promise
2008 December Back home in VA
2010 May Promoted to Petty Officer 1st Class
2010 September Out again on the USS Kearsarge
