A little about me:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
It was hard at first...she pushed me because she is only 17. Biggest reason is that I wanted to make sure she was joining for the right reason. I don't think I've ever seen her so gun-ho and grown-up about anything else in her life. We've started working out very early in the morning together to get her ready for boot camp. It's been a roller coaster but a great ride so far.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

How are you and how is your girl?  Is she in bootcamp yet or still waiting to leave?

    FaithA,

I am so happy for you that you get to spend time with your girl before she starts A school!!!  Keep in mind that I am living here in Waukegan now, not far from Great Lakes!!!  In fact I drive past it just about every day!!!  If your girl ever needs anything while she is up here, she can always call on me!!!!  Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!  Any snow yet there in Ohio?

Well welcome to our snowy (??!!) Waukegan!!!  So sorry your daughter is feeling apprehensive about leaving her orders behind.  At least with everything being computerized they can still get her checked in and such.  I'm sure she's not the first sailor to do something like that.  I'm sure that won't make her feel better, but it could be worse!!  :)  Did she have any other records with her orders?  You can always overnight them to her after you get back home!!  How long are you staying up here?
