I went through that stage also, then decided that it was all up to Kayla and GOD... my stepfather is an elder and sortof a lay minister. We have huge prayer and I know she is still on that list. So you can understand when I say bless them. I hope she will do fine. When does she run again? Kayla had been there for so long she was sort of the div, go to gal. One RDC always called her into the office and made her yell at the recruits. She sometimes she felt bad then others she knew that it needed said (really not by her though). If Nicole says she is going in front of Master chief, then it can be serious.

She has to just keep showing improvement, I think they can try for up to 180 days. They really do not want that, but that was what Kay told me. (if they show improvement).

She needs to take Ibuprofen an hour if possible before the run. I know that is hard and I know they get yelled at. Ice or heat to the muscle always. RCU/fit is not bad if she stays with the right group. Have her find a girl that has a broken hip. I am sure she would/will know who I am talking about. Stress fracture to the hip I think. Kayla bought that young lady a bible before she left and I thought that was the most amazing thing my kid could do. I know her name just can not print it here. They will make it. She has to have perseverance. That is how Kay did it and a lot of support and encouragement from home and other SR's.

Oh yes....how our faith and trust GROW while our loved ones are in the Navy...where all control is removed from us parents! My prayer life has grown in leaps and bounds....and it seems that our children DO handle these things better than we do....in boot camp, they may have a LOW moment when they write or call, and then they move on to better things....while we are still in the LOW moment because we haven't talked to them in the "moving on" time! I will say...A School is much better when communication is back...and once they are stationed, it is good too....well, as long as they are on land with communication! Mine is landbound for a while....dry docked ship.
Please keep me posted on how Nicole does....meanwhile, she is in my prayers daily! I take 3 long fast dogwalks (big dogs!) a day and that is my prayer time....before sun up, in the middle of the day, and later at night....quiet and peacful....have a great day!
