I am still learning to let go. My son is very smart and I know The Navy will refine and mature him. It will also give him opportunities to serve others and our Great Country.
The day I got home and found the box of his personal things by the front door was very emotional, beyond what I expected. I have not yet been able to wash his outer garments as they still smell like him. I will probably wait until after his PIR Graduation next month.
I know he is in great hands with The World's Finest Navy!
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
