My dad served during WWII in the Paific. His memories are as expected from a time of war as well as being cared for personally by those in command. He is very proud his grandson made the same decision as he. That made it very easy for me to be excited and supportive of my son's decision,too. I also respect and really appreciate the two recruiters from our area, Petty Officer Jonathan Gregory and Petty Officer Greg Ottesen.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

    Hi Jackie, how have you been? Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I remember you said that your son give other people a chance to get a day off on that weekend so you need to change the Thanksgiving gathering day... I just hope you did have a good time with your son for Thanksgiving :)

    I guess WA in this season is super cold, and I really miss the weather in there. HI is in 'Winter' season and getting cooler now, and everyone is wearing sweater or jacket... but still we have over 75F in the daytime haha.
