I am the proud mom of a son who is a Sailor, and a daughter who was a sailor. She was in the Navy for 9 years, got out to get married and start a family, she is married to a Sailor also! My son is on the USS Boxer, and I could not be prouder of him. From a unworldly boy from a small town, to being a sailor in the greatest Navy in the world!!
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
The disipline and the pride it gives someone. My child is doing something I could only dream of. Getting experience, seeing the world, and becoming a man. There have been mishaps, but that is to be expected when you set an 18 year old loose on the world! The most important thing I believe as a mother is that my son is safe.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
