If you have a Recruit at the RTC, you should change "In the NROTC program" above to "Enlisted" because NROTC refers to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, a college scholarship program. You aren't the first person to make that mistake and you won't be the last. If you do and you know your recruit's PIR date, join PIR December 2016 or PIR January 2017. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group, Join DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in December, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening.
If you actually do have a student in the NROTC program, join NROTC.
If you have a recruit, what is your recruit’s Navy Occupational Specialty (NOS) or field going to be? There are groups for most specialties and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend.
If your Username contains your last name, also make changes 1 and 2.
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your recruit or student.
