A little about me:: I am the proud Aunt of Kelley Lynne who just left for boot camp January 18, 2010. I have no children and only one sister so Kelley and her brother Sean are like my own. Kelley has always thought about joining the Navy and even had a little sailor dress and that she loved when she was a small child. Kelley graduated from Alvernia College and was on the Dean's. After graduation she had several jobs but none were fulfilling so after the lay off at her last job she considered joining the Navy and signed up for the delayed entry program. Her father was very ill with MS at the time and has since passed. So we are pray for Kelley's success and ask for prayers not only for her but for all of the recruits that are in boot camp.

The Navy offers opportunities that...: There are many opportunities for young men and women. Not knowing anyone that I could talk to that recently served in the any branch of the armed forces, I was thrilled to find out about the Navy for moms website and hope it will help answer a lot of the basic questions that our family has.
Our Navy experience so far...: It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
