    Hey Jill, I think the military likes to keep us confused:)... They do a great job! My son is 21... Tried college out of HS, hated it.... Decided on military service. He wanted to join sooner but I held him off .... Then I saw how serious he was about joining so I relented... Dried my tears and supported him. My husband is veteran of the navy, so he helps me out a little with understanding. Let's keep in touch. Happy New Year!

    My son will be going to San Antonio Texas for Corpsman School.  There is a good chance your son will go to VA after BC. He will probably end up at Dam Neck in VA Beach.  My husband is a retired CT and we have spent a lot of time in the VA area. That's how we came to retire in this area. We are hoping that our son finishes A school in the top of his class so he can get a C school with orders on to Portsmouth Naval Med Center. Selfish of us to want him close. His wife won't mind too much as long as he doesn't go to Bethesda.
