I have the same confusion. Lol. All I know is before he left he had decided he was going to volunteer for combat training and if accepted he would go to an army or marine base for 3 months of training, and then be deployed to Afghanistan for a year. Does anyone know anything about this as I'm completely in the dark when it comes to that. :) or if he'll still decide to do it. I assume if he does he will go to I believe a 2 week A school?!

Kelly I would love to meet up with you there!!! :)

It really is a small world.  We lived in Liberty from 1985 until 1994.  My son actually graduated from Liberty High.  He lived in Columbia, went to USC, and worked at the Mellow Mushroom for 3 years, prior to  joining the Navy.  He misses his Columbia friends.  I'm sure he'd love sharing a ride with someone heading this way.  He left home 2/13, and really has no clue when he'll get to come this way.  He hopes to start the first school at Groton on Friday.  He got there 2 weeks ago, but is having to wait for enough Sailors to arrive before the class starts.
