  • Recruit Man - Ronny

    Welcome to NavyforMoms.com.  My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012.  He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron.  He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic.  I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.  My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)

    Hi, I see that you have a recruit at the RTC. I invite you join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Do you know his PIR date? If so, go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. Since you have an SR at the RTC, you should change "In the NROTC program" above to "Enlisted" because NROTC refers to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, a college scholarship program. You aren't the first person to make that mistake and you won't be the last. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
