Our son left for RTC on 2/11/14. He is assigned to ship 14 division 136. His girlfriend, my 16 month old and I will be attending PIR 4/11/14 (God willing:)...
UPDATE: God's will, we received the go-ahead to fly out!
His sister (our eldest) also served in the Navy (honorable discharge)...very proud of all 6 of our children!
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
In the NROTC program
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Be there for them, be supportive and stay in touch with my son/daughter...NEVER EVER stop writing!
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Remember, "No news is good news!" If you have not received a call from him indicating that there is a problem, then he is on track to have PIR as scheduled. Some RDC's schedule calls nearly weekly and others schedule only a few and it does not appear to matter about how well the division is or isn't doing. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.
Hi! I sent you a private email. I am local to you and a site admin for the Bay Area group. Have you heard from him yet? He will contact you when he can. Until then, keep sending him letters and know that he is reading them before falling asleep exhausted everyday!
