- I am the mother of three wonderful kids. I have two girls in High School and my son just completed his first year.
My husband of 11yrs comes from a military family. His father and two bothers are Ret. Air Force.
We are very proud of our son for joining the Navy. He is following in my fathers foot steps. As proud as we are, being away from our son is extremely difficult on me and his sisters.
My husband is a Lt. with our Fire Dept. for the last 25yrs. I am a stay at home mom and teach swim lessons w Infant Swimming Resource. - I am here to support my

- As a mother, it has been very difficult not seeing my son for nearly one year. The most important thing that I've learned is "you need to let go" and take comfort in knowing that our loved ones are safe and learning skills that will last a life time.

You can join another group called PIR Reference Information. Under the "dicussion" section, top few...info regarding what to wear, expect and arrival time.
We are a family of 5, we are planning to arrive at the Training Centerclose to 7am. We will have a rental car and are anticipating lines and checkpoints...hope this helps.
My son is doing GREAT! : ) At first, not used to the new schedule...but is now in the routine making friends with some really "good guys". Not sure if we will make it to the meet and greet, but we'll try. Have you ordered a Proud Navy hoodie, yet?

Hi Michelle, I'm glad to hear they will be going to school together. We're counting the days too. My Husband and I will be going to the Meet & Greet, I'm not sure if my daughter's flight will arrive in time for it, but she will be at PIR. I just got the white scarves for her & I yesterday. That reminds me, I don't think I even mentioned the scarf to her yet. I probably should :) She's a few years older than her brother and so proud of him. It's really nice to see that. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
