Welcome toBoot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you.Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR.Start withOPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile)andArrival and What Happens at the RTCand read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info. What is your future Sailor's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
If you have a recruit at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." If you do and you know your recruit's PIR date, go tohttp://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-dateand join the group for that. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group,DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in September, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.
It's not a good idea to post a pic of your recruit every time you post. See change 4 at the bottom ofOPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile)(clickable link). Also make change 3 while you are there. There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

When did or will your future Sailor ship to the RTC? If you know the ship date, go to the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for.... At the bottom are links for each of the months, join the one for the month that your future Sailor ships.
