We ask that our membersnot use a last name or email address in their Username - even if it differs from their Sailor's - so please head to “Settings” on the main page right away to set your new Username (be creative!) and add a profile image (no last names visible) to complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.
Then jump right in! Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.
Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas.
Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.
This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you. We look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.
Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
DebraMay824 - I saw your note in the Main Chat room and I wanted to welcome you to N4M but I would also like to encourage you to join the BC Mom (Loved Ones) group. We have a lot of information on that page and we do most of our discussion in the comment area (scroll most of the way down the main page) there. There is not a lot of traffic on the main chat compared to the group. B'sNukeMom gave you the like below - see the blue letters - those are links to information - but here it is again. https://navyformoms.ning.com/group/bootcampmoms
My son has been in the Navy for three years now. There are several of us who stick around in the group and volunteer our time here helping to answer questions and encourage new moms. I am friends with Jen (OS Mom). I am going to see if I can help her connect with you, here, if you miss her in chat.
Good Morning DebraMay824, We are glad you are here. Welcome to our group. Come and chat on the main page and introduce yourself. No question is ever dumb. Someone will answer you.
