    Welcome to NavyforMoms.com.  My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012.  He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron.  He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic.  I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.  My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)

The group for the 08/16/2013 TG will be created once someone receives the form letter. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be?     There are no groups for just loved ones of Gas Turbine Systems Technician -- Electrical  (GSE). Check out Great Lakes A School Q&A, GL A-school moms, Engineers, Snipe Moms(enginers), and Snipe Moms and join the ones that meet your needs. You will also want to check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for GSE can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/gse.pdf. GSE has "A" School in Great Lakes, which is a plus for you for PIR weekend since he will be able to have daytime Liberty with you each day of the weekend--see PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend for more on that. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
