- Single mom with beautiful son who has chosen to serve his country as a Sailor! I am very proud of the person who Chris has become. We have a special bond as I have been told by many that know us. He is a young mature man beyond his years I have been blessed to have two very gratifying careers, one as a Human Resources Director of many fortune 500 countries. Then I became a middle school teacher when my son was 10 years old to be able to spend more time with him.....and I do not regret a moment.

- Patience with how things work in a military system. My son is about to leave for boot camp and so I do not feel I have enough experience. I need to be strong for my son and proud of the sacrifice. He had a wonderful recruiter who looked out for him and has guided him in preparation for boot camp.
The Navy has strengthened me from my son's boot camp experience. It has taught me to put my trust in the Lord and He watches over those who give their life for the service of our country. The RDC have our SR's best interest at heart. Another important thing is that we are a "Navy family" and we support each other in whatever the ups and downs are of this new life. I have meet some incredible people!!!! - Our Navy experience so far...

hi there...thank you for your words of advice on these posts. my daughter, alex, left monday for boot camp. we got her box today. and i so proud of her. and very thankful i have found this group so that i can learn more about what she is living...thank you

Hi, my sr is in ship 12 div 219. its nice to chat with moms in the same div. I got my first phone call this week for half hour that was the best to hear his voice I loved every minute. I miss him but like you I also write encouraging letters to help his time go by faster. I cant wait to see him at graduation. We made our reservations today it's getting closer. He told me he has a job that's great news and that its getting better I'm worried about hell week anyone know anything about that week?
