Welcome to NAVYforMoms!   Our members are looking forward to meeting you and answering your questions.  

Go to “Settings” on the main page ASAP to add a profile image and complete your Profile.  For OPSEC reasons, do not post photos with names visible on uniforms.  Please read our Community Guidelines and this Operations Security checklist, then head to About Us and Getting Started.

When you're ready, jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and their Discussion Forums. 

This site is a great opportunity to start learning about what's to come and help your Sailor as they progress. You can search for and join groups for your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" school, duty station or homeport and ship; groups for moms in your state and/or home town; and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas.   

Be sure to introduce yourself when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - we were all new to this once, too  :)  We look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor, and welcome to the NAVY family!

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

If your Username contains your last name, also make changes 1 and 2.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your Sailor.
