Kinsi: My son was pushed back a week also. I freaked but it turned out to be a good thing for him. So you will be joining PIR 8/20/2010 but I don't think that is listed in the upcoming graduations yet. When it is, maybe you can start the group? Hang in there...I cried and cried when my son got delayed...but he did so much better when he rejoined his next division so that was the good news! If you have any questions, I would be glad to help....
Hang in there, Kinsi. You have the right attitude. So now....you celebrate his PIR and his birthday....FUN! He'll get there....try to keep him encouraged and let him know that you talked to other ladies who had this happen to their recruits and they did great. It is just such a slam to the mind when it happens...and defeating at first. I know my son felt kind of "left out" when he entered his new division....at first. There were others entering the division with him who also had been detained. It didn't take long for them to be accepted and adjust. I guess the "old timers" in there aren't sure what to think of these newbies who come in late to their division. But they prove themselves soon enough. Encourage Encourage Encourage! Good luck to him!
