    Jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and their Discussion Forums.  Search for groups for boot camp, your PIR date, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" school, duty station or homeport and ship, and also your own state, region or home town, and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas.

    Has your Sailor had PIR?

    What is your Sailor’s rating (job/occupational specialty) or field going to be? There are groups for most specialties and/or "A" Schools.

    Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

    If your Username contains your last name, also make changes 1 and 2.

    There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

    Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your son.
