Hi AshleyB! yes we are stationed on a Marine base, in the desert! We've only been here about 3 months. It's kind of strange because there are only 3 Navy on the entire base. I feel like we kind of stick out because of that! It's going ok- I don't really have any advice because I am brand new at this too! I hope you guys enjoy the move, this is your first move with the Navy right? Keep me posted on how things are going with you! When do you move?

Another thing we have in common- I'm also an RN! Good luck with finishing school, it's tough but will be worth it. I found a job within a few weeks of being out here, that's the beauty of being a nurse. No matter where we will end up with our husbands- we can work as nurses. Talk to you soon.

One of the perks of being on a Marine base- you get to go to the Marine Corps Ball. We just had ours on the Queen Mary. It was really fun! So this will be your last Thanksgiving before moving, right? Have a good one and let me know how the move goes! Are you on Facebook?
