A little about me:: I am 42, WAS a single Mom for ALMOST 20 years! (he turns 20 Jan. 30th! left for bootcamp November 22nd) So, my life basically TOTALLY revolved around my son, Now he's gone! But I couldn't be happier for him, or MORE PROUD!

When I heard “Navy,” I...: Was concerned or afraid
The Navy offers opportunities that...: It hasn't been nearly as bad as I thought it would be! The POSITIVE changes I have seen in my son in ONLY 2 MONTHS! FAR outway ANY discomfort I have gone through! I LOVE the fact that even though MY son has left our area, the Recruiting Station has been AMAZING! I have been up there pretty much EVERY week with "questions" They have ALWAYS been SO kind & speak SO highly of my son that I KNOW he made the BEST decision!
Our Navy experience so far...: It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
