Single mom of 4 boys, #2 son leaves for boot camp on June 9th... it is feared my umbilical cord will not reach to Great Lake, Illinois. Although my boys are very independent and responsible, I will "Mommy" them until unable to physically.

    Hi, Chris...it is nice to hear from you! We are going to drive from WV instead of flying...it was sooo much cheaper... and, we are being VERY conservative this month...Miranda and Dalton don't like it to much...but, when they get to see their big brother...it will be worth it. I know EXACTLY what you mean about going by their room! I even started cleaning it up...but, then I just closed the door... This past week has been difficult to say the least... I got a letter...Justin sounded great, doing really well, even said he would enlist again, no second thoughts...then, his girlfriend calls...who gets 4 letters to my 1 and says he would like to come home??? I don't exactly know what to believe... drama... Anyway, I see you have 4 boys...WOW! How old are the others? BTW, if you absolutely cannot be there...make sure you order the video...or make sure you tell your son to order it!

    I tried to discourage Justin from being in a committed relationship...knowing that he was leaving...but, I am just a mom...and, you know...I don't know anything...but, I actually am fine...it is Loquax's mom who has had health issues...but, from reading another post recently...I think she has been cleared to travel...so, that is a blessing. Have you considered or made reservations yet? My husband and I are staying at the Homewood Suites in Lincolnshire along with another mom...and Rob's mom (I am pretty sure) along with others are staying at the Ramada...
