Wow what a small world. Great to hear from you. SA is a great city and I live near KCI off IH-10. The military base here just opened up the largest mess hall in the world that feeds all branches and feeds something like thousands of meals per hour. you must be very proud of your little girl. I'm over joyed about my two boys and the future they have been given by the Navy.

Talk to you soon and/or see you in Great Lakes!

Hi Sarah's dad, the primary expeditionary unit that has limited openings for females is Riverines. I believe that there are 3 units, and only one of the 3 takes females. Of course Mobile Security is a VERY big option for MA's, both male and female. I wouldn't necessarily call them expeditionary, but they do have a broad range of opportunities for different assignments. Most of Kelcie's additional training was in Investigations. She was lucky enough to be stationed near San Diego, where there is a big NCIS presence. She actually got to work with NCIS on a few cases on her base.
