- I am a down to earth, caring, genuine person who loves to help people. My husband has been in the Navy since March 3rd, 2010. He is a Nuke, an Electronics Technician and he loves his job! We have a 3 year old daughter, Amara, and a 2 year old son, Logan. We are very happy and we enjoy everything the Navy has given us.. (so far :-p)

I'm only an 18-month resident of the Hoosier State and have no idea where Michigan City is, so I'll have to get out my map again! If you're near Indy (or willling to drive), there's a monthly informal dinner in Avon (on the west side) which meets on third Mondays. Click Apr 19 on the Events calendar (right-hand column) for those details. There's also a gathering planned in South Bend for April 24 (also on the Events calendar) and a state-wide gathering this summer... so stay tuned!
The 8 weeks of bootcamp are tough for the sailor AND the wife, but they WILL pass! Just write as much as you can, keep telling him he can do it, and that you're proud of him and love him, no matter what happems. And if you attend PIR ("Pass In Review" = graduation), you'll be so proud that your chest will hurt!
