To be very patient. To listen and to learn from the kids (Jake and Micah). Things did not pan out and plan out as I originally thought, and that's ok, too, change(s) happen all the time within us and around us, and if Plan A is not all it was cracked up to be, then ALWAYS have and remember Plan B, maybe, even C!
Micah and Jake were married in Great Lakes, IL on Feb. 6, 2010----a couple of weeks after Jake graduated boot camp from the spec. opecs division. Around the middle of April, I suspected my daughter was pregnant and I was right! A baby boy, Emmis Finn Hunter, is due to arrive a week before Christmas and Micah, Jake, and baby Finn will be living in Virginia Beach, VA for at least a year. Our daughter is a great, wonderful, patient, kind and giving young girl. Jake is crazy about her and we love the way he respects and treats her, with her heart and happiness always on his mind. We're proud of Jake and his decision and we accept and love him very much, just the same as we do Micah. I have no fears that my only daughter is with him and his wife. Jake has a wonderful family, old traditions, morals, and values that set him apart from so, so, so, many of the young people, as himself, these days. He is a lot to be proud of and we are!!
Jake and Micah also have a stray cat they adopted, while they were first dating, Aladdin and a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy, Alli---who is a hand full! They are just now slowly learning how to respect each others ways and space----things between them are a whole lot better now, thankfully!!
I'm going to be a Mimi in December and I can hardly wait!
