Hi Melissa - my name is Linda - My son is in Groton now. He tells me it is starting to get cool around 60 in the day today. The commissary has been closed for two days with the shutdown and some of the guys don't have a car- it is tough for them to get food. I went there for my son's BESS graduation and stayed for over a week at the Navy Lodge - two blocks outside the base gate - great place by the way but if you want to go there, make plans early as the only have 72 or so rooms and they work with the new families that come onto the sub base so sometimes they don't have many rooms available. If I can help you with anything - please let me know. Where are you from? I know how proud you must be because I am. My son is going into ET-Nav and he is in A-School now,
next stop Techno. He will be there till probably May of 2014. He is coming home for Christmas but isn't getting a real good price on Air Tickets. The longer he waits the worse the price gets. When he graduates next year, I am going out there again, I loved
