A little about me:
Mom from Smithsburg, MD - Son just joined the Navy. I am so excited for him, and this new start. He just turned 18 in December. I can't imagine my evenings without him, however, it's not about me, it's about him and his new beginning. That is the only thing that breaks me down, him not being home. My husband has always worked evenings, so it was J and I.

He truly would be taken care of. He is already a responsible young man, and I know the Navy will even make his life better. I didn't want him in college, I didn't trust it, I trust the Navy. He knows how important it is, from the start, to stay up and up and he doesn't want to mess up. In college, he may have been a more thrill seeker.
