    Yeah, I'm sure it never gets easier no matter how many times you go through it. This will def be a wild adventure and I can't wait to see where it takes us. I am very proud of him and know that he will do well in what ever path he chooses. I miss him terribly, but I know the time will pass... and someday I'll be looking back wondering where the time went.

    I agree...I was on the site about a week before our son left...was just soaking in all the advice. We started writing after he left, and when we think of something, we jot it down. Right now I've heard there is at least another week before phone privileges. As hard as it is, I don't want a call. The only guaranteed calls are the one they get when they arrive, and after passing Battlestations. They make them call if their grad is delayed. Our son is going to San Antonio after PIR for corpsman school. His rack mate (from our town too) is staying in GL for welding school, with the hope of transferring to the Seabees in 18 months.
