    Hi Sherry,

Just wondering whether, during the Christmas break, if recruits went home, did they have to use up their leave time to do that?

    Thanks!

Thanks, Sherry. Others have said they had to use their leave but that doesn’t sound right to me because it is sort of being forced on the them. It may be different depending on the whim of those in charge at the time…We shall see what the Navy decide this time!

not sure it makes sense for us to fly over at Christmas and then again for graduation at end of Jan - very expensive. Especially if I need to stay awhile and go down to Pensacola to help him sort out getting his license and a car, etc.

Might see if my son wants to go to his grandparents in the US. They would love to have him.

Thank you very much for checking, Sherry. That info is very useful to know. Will let my son decide whether he takes leave to go see his grandparents over the Christmas break or whether he just flakes out and relaxes. Unlikely we will go see him from the UK if also heading out there around a month later for graduation.  Really appreciate your help. :)
