A little about me:
I am a single mom with 2 grown children. I have a 27 year old daughter who has three girls ages 9 years, 3 years and 2 years. My son is 21. He just graduated from C School in Georgia and is headed to Washington to begin his tours on the bn submarine. I work with people who have disablilites in a group home setting. Kyle has the full support of his dad, sister, grandparents, myself and other extended family. I am very proud of him and all that he has accomplished since he has joined the Navy.

    Hi Marian, Thanks for responding to me.  We live in St. Louis but I am originally from the Boston area.  My folks are elderly but my sister will be able to take them to visit my son when he gets to Groton.  I thought school was longer then the four and half months. I thought that is why he had to sign for five years because the first is mostly for school.  I guess we will find out as we go along.  It is my understanding that they bring nothing to boot camp, is that correct.
