    I Gnome I saw your post about tapestry needles and I'm not a part of that group so I thought I'd write you a message here.  I've brought knitting needles on planes before without an issue.  I bet it wouldn't be a problem.  You could always call ahead and ask.  I know I do a lot of knitting while my husband is gone to keep my nerves contained.  :)

    thanks Gnome I hope you do too!  I'm spending the day in search of a poetry or writing club - no luck so far but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and if I don't find anything I could try to start my own.
