A little about me:
I am married with 7 children (4 which I birthed, 3 stepchildren), all of which are out of the house and on their own except one (who is 16 and a junior in high school). I am a Christian above all things and have been gifted with many creative talents (painting portraits and crocheting being my favorites).

My husband (Marine-no longer active) and I currently work in ministry with our focus being in missions (hospitality and education) and the youth. I was not very excited about my daughter's choice to join the Navy at first, but now I am very pleased with her decision.

The Navy offers opportunities that...
That being in the military is not as bad as I thought. I really had negative views about it actually. But at my daughter's boot camp graduation, and I saw her with the other sailors, something clicked in my mind and heart. I realized that she, and the rest of the sailors were doing something very honorable...devoting their lives to their country. I have tried to live a life that encouraged each of my children to be selfless and give back...seeing my daughter that day...God gave me peace as He whispered to me, "Mission accomplished."
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
