My 21 yr old Son has just signed with the Navy. I am also the Mother of a married Daughter. My family tree has very little military experience, so I'm very new to this.

To clarify everything a Recruiter says. We were given many promises that turned out to be completely inaccurate. My Son changed Recruiting offices and I feel better now, but really look forward to hearing from other families. I am very proud of my Son and excited.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

    I totally understand about the girlfriend thing. My daughter has a boyfriend too; but thank God she always calls us 1st and now I'm just waiting for a letter from her. I've been writing here everyday and now every other day.... Does the girlfriend tell you when he calls if he does? We only rec'd one phone so far and that was her 1st week in because they were doing so well. They allowed 23 girls to phone home, which was a really nice bonus for them. My daughter sounded broken, yet obviously she was doing good because she got the phone call. Are you going to graduation? I'm going to do my best to make it there because from there she goes to Florida. Hoping that our kids are stationed in San Diego...huh? Well you have a blessed day and try not to worry to much, they will get through this. :)

    That is awesome!!!  Are you going to PIR?  Where are you staying.  Would LOVE to meet up with you!  So thankful he is on watch for our boys!!!
