From my experience with the Army* the most important thing I've learned is impossible to summarize. I've learned "heart" I've learned to push myself and to never quit. I have learned to make myself all that I can be and so much more. I will never settle for second place. I've learned team work and we are only as strong as our weakest member. I want to take all that I've learned and take it to the Navy. I want to train my soldiers/sailors the best way I can. I want to push them and make them more then they ever thought they would be.

It is great to hear from you! Yes, Maddie joined the Navy in May and shipped out to basic in July. She is just finishing up A school and will be headed to C school and then her duty station. She is loving military life. It was a total shock for us when she decided to leave ECU to enlist because she had such good grades and was loving college life. But there are no words to describe how proud we are! Have you already enlisted in the Navy or do you have to wait until your contract is up in the National Guard? Best of luck to you!
