Welcome to the AECF group and congratulations to your new sailor! He is going into a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end. Will you be moving to GL when he starts A school? It's been a crazy here for the AECF students with long holds for class or waiting for orders for C school. I'd like to say it's getting better but somedays I'm not sure. Our son is an FC and is with the fleet now, his dad was also an FC for 10 + years as well. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sounds like you are making some smart decisions. At least Ohio is close to GL and perhaps you can see him on a occassional weekend. Once he phases up at school, he can go up to 300 miles from the base on the weekend without taking leave. So I don't know how many miles you are from the base but that might be an option. Definitely finish school -- my daughter got married last year and would be in her senior year of college but walked away from it so she could be in upstate ny with her hubby - he's in the Army. Other wives agree with you about being a distraction while they are in school. My hubby was an FC for 10 years and I did not join him at school either. Expect him to be in GL for A school about a year and then he will move to another state for C school. Once you know if he is an ET or an FC - I can tell you more about the C school situation.

Yep. I think he meant BStations on Thurs for 365 and 366. The 11/5 igroup is still going tomorrow night and they don't mix the PIR groups for BStations except for the ones who are making up their run late and trying to get through BStations for their PIR ceremony. Thanks for pointing that out! I let Diana know so she will revise the schedule tomorrow.
