Where is your sailor at now? Bootcamp, school or with the fleet? Ours is stationed in Hawaii but is currently deployed.

Are you flying or driving up to GL? It's a long drive but many families drive up - we were short on time so we flew. It's an awesome day. What rate is Allen going into after boot camp? Where will his A school be? Ours stayed in GL for almost a year so the good news was we had the whole weekend with him :-)

Do you have a GPS that you can take with you to GL? We flew in and the car we rented had one at no charge and it allowed us to program it with no toll roads which was fabulous - what we found was often we were on a service drive that ran parallel to the freeway but at no cost and the freeways were all congested and under construction and we were able to avoid that too!
