I can understand how your daughter feels about joining verses going to college. My daughters are twins and the oldest (by two minutes) knew she wanted to go to college. No doubt in her mind. Her twin wanted to join the Navy. She did her time and got out knowing she wanted to do something else with her career. She went on to attend Penn State and got her Bachelors degree in 3 years going full time year round. She graduated without one dime of college debt!!!! She is a proud veteran and very happy with her current career path. She really feels that time spent in the Navy helped her grow and mature and helped get her where she is today. Now the oldest twin - she did her first two years of college and then joined enlisted in a college to Naval Officer program. She spent her last two years of college actually enlisted in the Navy and drawing Navy pay and health care. As soon as she graduated she went to OCS and commissioned as an Officer. She is still in, is a Lieutenant, and is hoping to stay in for many more years. I also have a son who has been in since 2003. My profile picture is of my three sailors at her commissioning in 2012!!! Hope this helps some. Your daughter may go flip flopping between one or the other, especially if as you say - she just wants things to start happening!!! In the end, only she will know for sure what she wants. There are just so many benefits for young people joining the military!!! You just can't find that in the regular job market!!
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Since you have a recruitatRTC, then you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to “Enlisted” or “AtBootCamp now.” Either is appropriate, but if you make the change to “Enlisted” now, then you will not have to change it again.
Since you have a Sailor, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to “Enlisted.”
If you get an error message, then look at the area/s in the error message and unclick all of the choices in the area/s and make choices closer to the question/s. Some choices may have changed since you joined.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."
