A little about me:

I am a mom of 3 beautiful children. My eldest, the only son, is 18 and joining the Navy. I have a 9 year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter. I live in South Alabama, close to the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores. I love to crochet, read classic literature as well as fantasy stuff, and spend oodles of time with my kids and wonderful husband.

The Navy offers opportunities that...

I learned that my son will join the ranks of great men and women from both sides of his family that have served in various military branches. I learned that he will be part of an organization that works hard to protect us and realized that he has an overwhelming desire to participate in that protection role because of his family. He will learn skills and discipline that will benefit him for the rest of his life and have the opportunity to see the world and get an education. I have learned that he is becoming a man who will be able to make choices in his life that he would never have been able to make because the Navy will give him the tools that he needs to fulfill his dreams.

Our Navy experience so far...

It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
