My oldest son, Javi (18), just passed his MEPS and finally got his weight down to what was required. We are so excited for him because he really wants to serve. He is waiting for a job opening and so I am happy, anxious and at times sad that he is taking this giant leap into what we see as a great future. I have 3 other children ages 15, 10, and 5. I can't wait for him to start this great adventure but I also am nervous. I pray all works out for him the way the Lord plans. My niece, Jackie, also signed up earlier this month and leaves for bootcamp Sept. 27th. Javi and Jackie are 3 weeks apart and grew up together so I feel my emotions have doubled now!
