I'm a single mother of three. I work as a Sterile tech. in Taylor, Michigan. My oldest son Jacob just left March 14th for boot camp, and graduates May 7th. I'm very proud of him. I also have a thirteen year old daughter and a 3 year old daughter. We miss the only boy in the family.

    If your son is a strong independent type, like mine...he will call when he needs you. Try to remain strong. Mine did not call often! Please try to be strong, send him notes of encouragement, fun newsy stuff from the local paper, his favorite comic strip, or one that you believe would be light hearted or funny to him. I have come to believe that no news is good news, when it comes to the Navy. My best to you as you work through this adjustment.
