    Katherine, my son has always wanted to be in the military since he was 10 years old.  He was always determined to be a soldier and still is.  I think that made it easier for me to deal with his decision...I've always known it was something he really wanted.  I'm quite sure your son has endured the most difficult part and if he can get through boot camp, he'll be just fine.  Best of luck to you and your son!
