Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
You need to support your Sailor, but still have your own identity. Send him love, support, faith, and let him know that you will always be here for him. Don't stress them out about things that are insignificant at "home" or how 'you can't handle missing him so much", let him know that you are doing great, being faithful, and can't wait to be in his arms again. Be the YOU he fell in love with, but continue to grow as an individual and couple.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Make change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Since your SR will go to “A” School for Damage Controlman (DC), join Damage Control Mom's, and you may also find others with loved ones with that rating in Engineers, Snipe Moms, and Snipe Moms(enginers). You will also want to join Great Lakes A School Q&A and GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for DC can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/dc.pdf. You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. (See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend.)
