For the prone float, your SR just needs to relax. No one is going to let him drown and they will tell him when the 5 minutes are up. He may do better to move a bit away from others who are also testing. He still has plenty of time to pass and the final PFA is not for a couple of weeks. He will do fine if he just relaxes.
