Sounds like you have some good ideas on ways to keep the connection with your daughter. One of the other moms on the Daughters 2 group said that she and her daughter arranged to say a prayer together at the same time of day every day - wherever they were!! Boot camp is a stressful, difficult time - not only because it's the first time we are separated like this from our kids, but also because we are cut off from any communication with them. Us moms don't like that!!! Once she goes to school she will slowly earn privileges like having their cell phone, computer, and having liberty. What rating will your daughter be training for? Come chat with us on the group page. I have made some of the most wonderful friends on this website!!! Other Navy Moms just understand!!! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!!! Hugs {{{ . . }}}
Hi there - glad you joined the nuke mom's group! I'm sorry to hear about the job situation - that sucks....at least you have PS graduation to look for to....it will be nice for you to see your daughter!
Click on OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and the Page will open in a new window. Read the Page and follow the directions at the bottom to make change 3 (see the words in bold) so that this page is no longer visible to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.
