Hey there Julie!!  It's Michelle.  How are you liking this site so far?  Have you looked at the page where some parents have posted some of their letters from boot camp?  Some of them are actually pretty funny to read.  Once you find out Jordan's ship and division as well as PIR date, you may want to see if there is a group formed and join it.  I joined the one for my son and it was really helpful.  You will be able to have the support of a lot of people going thru the same thing at the exact same time.  It was a great blessing.  Have fun and hang on for a fantastic ride!!!!   :-)

If you go to main page on N4M and hit link for Newbies you will find a Map of RTC that has all the Ships, their number and locations.  Letters should be addressed as follows:

    SR  Last Name, First, Middle

    Ship #    Division #

    Recruit Training Command

Address of Ship Location ex. 3600 Ohio Street for Ship #3

    Great Lakes, Il    60088-3156

    Let the letters begin!

From my expereince they complete A School first.  My son is CTI so he went to A school first in Monterey and then he goes for an additional six months in Cryptology in Georgia.  I believe they do A School before specialized training.  You can double check this with FireTeam Wife.
