I am a new CTN but not new to the Navy life. Many of my friends and family are either in the Navy or working for the Navy in some capacity. I wont be leaving for boot until May but have a lot of knowledge about the rating due to a few friends who are CTN's now.

    ge3kswagTony, Welcome aboard N4Ms. There is so much information and support here. JessicaB-Sailor Mom has good info below but souns like you have lots of family and friends in or working for the Navy so you have other resources as well. Still, you may want to check out the groups for ones that interest you. This is a great website, just remember almost everything can be seen by everyone. See the setting your profile to private then you have more control. Thank you for choosing to serve our country. My son has been in for almost 4 years now and finally got his first deployement. He likes the Navy and looks forward to his first deployment as a nuke on a sub. Blessings,
