So glad to hear from you!! I'm glad you had that wonderful gift of spending time with your daughter for Mother's Day!!! My son is also an IS and went through school at Dam Neck!! And my daughter, who just graduated from college, will be heading to P'cola for flight school after she completes OCS. She should be there this fall. I'm so glad I met someone who will be close by!!!! I can just imagine how proud your husband and father in law were watching their girl graduate from bootcamp!!! My husband and I are both Navy vets and another daughter is now a vet, as she just got out last fall. I know of two moms who had daughters graduate 5/11 - rluv76 and modaPIR5/11Ship12/Div147. Hopefully you had contact with them through your PIR group!! I hope so. Now I look forward to chatting with you on the group page and hearing how your daughter is doing as she gets out there in the fleet!!!!
So sorry I didn't respond back sooner. I'm leaving for two weeks and had many tasks to take care of before I leave!!! My IS son went strike and has been in NV for 4 years. He's getting ready to transfer to VA and just reenlisted for 6 more years. Yes, I do hope to get to P'cola to visit while my daughter is there!!! We'll plan a "meeting over coffee" (or something) if and when that happens!!! Do you plan on visiting Dam Neck while your daughter is there? There is lots to do in that part of VA!!! Take care!!
