We have a Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbie (clickable link). You'll find everything you need to get started. Videos, PDF files of boot camp processing days, links to all the important groups plus tips on how to use this site. Keep in mind the videos and PDF files may take some time to download the first time you try it. It'll look like nothing is happening. Be patient. Best part is it'll be here on your very own page as a reference. Click the MY PAGE tab on above menubar to access your page anytime - you should do it at least once a day to see if you have any postings on your comment wall (like this one). Good luck.

BTW, I am from Northern CA. My son is a nuke officer on a submarine. Just holler if you have any questions. You'll find me in the San Francisco Bay Area Navy Families group.

Hello MysticEyes! I hope you are doing good and I hope you have more contact with your daughter than I do with my son! I get an occasional response to my texts on the weekends but not during the week. They must be working awfully hard- he says he drinks a lot coffee  and he can sleep on the weekend :) We are heading down to Goose Greek this Thursday to spend Memorial Weekend with my son - don't know how much time we will actually have with him but we will at least get a better idea of what it is like there. Hope you are having a good day!
