Here for you in whatever way I can help.  My son was asomed during his 3rd week when he was there.  I remember the total devastation I felt...I knew nothing about bootcamp and its procedures.  So...I hope I can help you through this!  I live in FL too...but S. FL.  A long way for us Floridians to get to GL.

Keep the faith...praying for your SR

I know the "mother" urge, believe me!  I pray extra hard for you all whose SRs are struggling with either PFAs or illness/injury.  Glad you are hanging in there. By the way, you may just want to READ the posts on FITNESS PROGRAM group, if not ready to join.  Saw where chicinge was on there for some advice.  Here4kids is a veteran whose daughter just went through this...Parrotghal another one--both on there.  They are both very helpful!  Here4kids actually started her own group to help out...FIT DIV....but last I checked, no one had joined because they are on FITNESS PROGRAM.  If you feel low, it may help you to get a "boost" from some of these ladies.  Just remember, your son has time on his side.  Could you still get up there if he makes the PFA on Thurs? Geez, I think I would just "go on faith" and leave early next week, make a vacation out of it...and go up there!  Ok, let's not even "go there."  thinking positively!  Praying that he makes this on Mon/Tues and is in BattleStations that night!

Yes, you are about 3 hours from us up there in Brevard.  My nephew is trying to get a firefighter/paramedic job there.  He is a part-time paramedic right now in the Keys...but needs full-time!

Enjoy your day!  Praying for your son....and chichinge's too....and some from previous PIR groups still hanging in there!

    Hi Jynni!

My son is John.  He was in div.306. When did your son PIR?  John had surgery today and hopes to come home later this week for some convalescent leave. He is very anxious to get to Goose Creek.  Does Nathyn have any idea how long he will be in THU.  Seems that nasty virus just keeps going around.  I was afraid John's surgery would be postponed as he is still congested from being sick a month ago!  They need to fumigate the place or something.
